1. MIT License & Open Source Software

The PocketMC desktop client and showcase website are open-source software distributed under the terms of the MIT License. You are free to view, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the software, subject to retaining the original copyright notice and permission notice in all substantial portions of the software.

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. PocketMC is a local environment manager. It does not provide cloud server hosting, VPS hardware, or network bandwidth. You are solely responsible for:

PocketMC facilitates optional connections to external services, including Eclipse Adoptium (Java runtimes), Modrinth and CurseForge (mod and plugin repositories), Playit.gg (network tunnels), Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Dropbox (cloud backups), Discord (rich presence and bots), and AI Providers (Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Mistral, Groq, Ollama) for log analysis. Your use of these third-party platforms is governed entirely by their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

5. Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances shall the maintainers, contributors, or affiliated developers of PocketMC be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from lost game worlds, server downtime, unauthorized network access, or hardware issues arising from the use of this software.
